Ride follow-up

What to observe after a bike-position change

The useful question is not only what an indoor recording shows—it is what happens as the ride gets real.

01INDOOR CHECK

Confirm the actual change and basic control first

Record the new measurement, compare it with the planned change, and make sure the bike remains safe to ride. A follow-up while the bike is held indoors can confirm that the new setup is easy to see and that no immediate warning sign appears.

02THREE RIDES

Use ride times that matter to you

A short ride checks the immediate response. A medium ride goes beyond the first impression. A normal ride tests the change in the situation that usually matters to you. Your own ride times are more useful than one time limit for everyone.

  • Keep everything else about the fit the same
  • Record when and where you rode, not only better or worse
  • Note whether the expected change appeared
  • Stop for worsening warning signs or loss of control
03DECISION

Keep it, adjust it, go back, or get help

A good indoor recording does not guarantee a good real ride. The result for one change should explain what happened, keep your setup history, and show the next step without claiming you are permanently fitted.
